That’s the Anno Domini calendrical system, in widespread use since its popularization in the eight century “A.D.” by the Venerable Bede and Alcuin, among others. In the paleoconservative calendrical system, 1952 would be recorded as “only seven years after the ovens of Auschwitz stopped smoking,” as in “As someone born only seven years after the ovens of Auschwitz stopped smoking [...].”
